Applications:
1. Pharmaceutical grade: PVP is mainly used as a binder for tablets and granules. Glidants for capsules, lubricants for eye drops, co-solvents for injections, dispersants for liquid preparations, stabilizers for enzymes and heat-sensitive drugs.
2. Industrial grade: PVP can be used as a porogen, surface coating agent, dispersant, thickener, and adhesive in water treatment films, pigments, printing inks, textiles, printing and dyeing, and color picture tubes.
